ISARIA FUMOSOROSEA
Isaria fumosorosea – Application guide and recommendations for the biological control of whiteflies and caterpillars
Application mode:
Foliar application by direct spraying onto areas where pests are found, especially the undersides of leaves, where whiteflies and other susceptible species tend to congregate. It can also be applied to the soil or substrate if the pests have subterranean larval stages. Isaria fumosorosea acts by contact, so it is essential to ensure uniform coverage of the foliage. High relative humidity (above 70%) and moderate temperatures favor spore germination and the effectiveness of the treatment.
Application tips:
• Apply preferably during periods of lower sunlight (morning or evening) to prevent spore desiccation.
• Repeat applications preventively or upon detecting the first signs of infestation.
• Avoid the simultaneous use of broad-spectrum fungicides that may affect the viability of the fungus.
• Maintain adequate ambient humidity after application to facilitate host infection.
• Compatible with most biological insecticides, fertilizers, and organic farming practices.
• Shake the product well before use and use chlorine-free water or allow it to stand for 24 hours before preparing the mixture.
Toxicity:
• For humans: Very low toxicity. No significant adverse effects are known. It is recommended to wear gloves, goggles, and a mask when handling the product.
• For bees: Non-toxic. Safe for pollinators and other non-target beneficial insects.
• For beneficial insects: Generally harmless, although it may slightly affect some very sensitive species upon direct contact.
• For the environment: Biological and biodegradable product, with no toxic residues. It does not contaminate soil or water and contributes to the ecological balance in agroecosystems.
Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully, respect the doses and times and follow the recommendations for use.
