PAECILOMYCES FUMOSOROSEUS
Paecilomyces fumosoroseus – Instructions and tips for using the entomopathogenic fungus for insect control
Application mode:
Foliar application by direct spraying onto the aerial parts of the plants, ensuring uniform coverage of the areas where pests are located (undersides of leaves, tender shoots, and flowers). It can also be applied in preventative or curative treatments when the first infestations are detected. Paecilomyces fumosoroseus acts by infecting insects through contact, germinating on their surface and developing mycelium that penetrates the cuticle, causing their death within a few days. It can be combined with adjuvants or wetting agents to improve the treatment's effectiveness.
Application tips:
• Apply preferably during the cooler hours of the day (morning or evening) to avoid spore degradation due to solar radiation and high temperatures.
• Maintain high relative humidity after application, as this promotes germination and fungal development on insects.
• Avoid mixing with chemical fungicides, especially broad-spectrum ones, which may affect its viability.
• Compatible with most biological insecticides, plant extracts, and organic farming products.
• Repeat applications every 7 to 14 days, or according to pest pressure and environmental conditions.
• Shake the product well before applying and use chlorine-free or dechlorinated water to maintain spore viability.
Toxicity:
• For humans: Very low toxicity. No relevant adverse effects have been reported. The use of gloves, goggles, and a mask is recommended during handling and application.
• For bees: Non-toxic. Safe for pollinators and other beneficial insects.
• For beneficial insects: Harmless to most natural enemies (such as lacewings, ladybugs, and parasitoids).
• For the environment: Natural, biodegradable product with no risk of pollution. It leaves no toxic residues and does not alter the soil microbiota or the ecological balance of the environment.
Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully, respect the doses and times and follow the recommendations for use.
