PHYTOSEIULUS PERSIMILIS
Phytoseiulus persimilis – User guide and recommendations for the application of the red spider mite predator
Application mode:
Apply directly to infested plants or areas most affected by the pest. Applications should preferably be made during the cooler hours of the day (morning or evening) and under suitable humidity conditions to promote establishment. Phytoseiulus persimilis actively locates its prey using chemical and physical cues, feeds on them, and effectively controls mite and spider mite populations. It can be applied preventively in crops with a history of infestation or curatively at the first signs of infestation.
Application tips:
• Apply early, before spider mite populations reach severe levels.
• Maintain relative humidity between 60 and 90% and moderate temperatures (18-28 °C) to optimize its effectiveness and reproduction.
• Avoid using broad-spectrum insecticides or acaricides that may affect its survival.
• Compatible with other natural enemies and biological control products.
• Distribute the mites evenly over the crop, especially in areas with higher pest density.
• Releases can be repeated every 7 to 14 days or according to crop development and environmental conditions.
Toxicity:
• For humans: Non-toxic. It poses no risk to human health. Handle with care to preserve the viability of the organisms.
• For bees: Harmless. It does not interfere with pollinator activity.
• For beneficial insects: Safe and compatible with other predators and parasitoids used in biological control.
• For the environment: A natural and ecological product. It leaves no residue, does not contaminate soil or water, and contributes to the biological balance of the agricultural ecosystem.
Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully, respect the doses and times and follow the recommendations for use.
