DESCRIPTION
WHO CAUSES IT?
Leafhoppers, also known as leafhoppers, are small insects belonging to the Cicadellidae family. These insects are known to be vectors of diseases in plants, including cannabis. They feed on plant sap, piercing leaves and stems with their mouthparts, and can transmit pathogens that cause serious diseases in crops.
SYMPTOMS
The presence of leafhoppers in cannabis crops can cause symptoms such as yellowing or spotted leaves, wilting of plants, growth deformations, and in severe cases, the death of the plant. Additionally, the presence of excrement of these insects on the leaves and stems can be an indicator of infestation.

To prevent and control leafhopper infestation in cannabis crops, it is recommended to implement integrated pest management practices. This includes regular inspection of plants to detect the early presence of insects, controlling weeds around the crop to reduce refuge sites, and introducing natural enemies such as parasitoid wasps and ladybugs.
