Phyllosticta cavendishii is a pathogenic fungus that affects banana plants, especially the Cavendish variety, one of the most common in the banana industry. This fungus causes a disease known as banana leaf spot or banana freckles.

SYMPTÔMES
The disease that occurs in the banana tree manifests itself mainly through symptoms on the leaves. These symptoms include the appearance of dark brown to black Taches on the leaves, which may be small at first but tend to expand over time. Additionally, the lesions may be surrounded by a yellowish halo, and in conditions of high humidity, a growth of black mycelium may be observed in the center of the Taches.
