How does it work?
Garlic infusion is a natural remedy with antimicrobial, antifungal and nematicidal properties. It is used to prevent and reduce soil diseases such as verticillosis, fusariosis, root and stem rot, as well as to repel nematodes. Garlic releases compounds such as allicin, which act directly on pathogens and strengthen the plant.
How is it prepared?
To prepare the infusion you need:
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1 liter of water
- (Optional) 1 teaspoon of potassium or neutral soap to improve adhesion
Crush the garlic cloves and boil them in water for 10 minutes. Let cool, strain and add the soap if desired.
How to apply it?
- Apply to the foot of the plant, wetting the stem and base area well.
- Use every 7 days in case of infection or as prevention.
- Repeat after heavy rains or abundant watering.
- It can be alternated with other soil management practices for greater effectiveness.
