BENALAXYL
Fungicide
A systemic fungicide belonging to the acylalanine group, primarily used to control oomycetes such as downy mildew, Phytophthora, and Pythium. It acts by inhibiting ribosomal RNA synthesis through interference with the pathogen's nucleic acid synthesis, blocking mycelial growth, development, and sporulation. It exhibits systemic absorption and upward movement within the plant, providing preventative protection and some curative activity in the early stages of infection. Its high specificity against oomycetes ensures high efficacy, but also a high risk of resistance development when used repeatedly without appropriate rotation strategies.

MOA (mode of action)
Inhibition of RNA and nucleic acid synthesis
Available Treatments for Rotation
The colors represent different modes of action (FRAC/IRAC groups). Rotating between different groups helps reduce the risk of resistance development.
