DESCRIPTION
WHO CAUSES IT?
The Alternaria pathogen is a common fungus that can be found in different environments, including soil, plants, water and air. This genus of fungi includes various species that can cause diseases in plants, animals and even humans. In the context of agriculture, Alternaria can be a significant problem, especially in crops such as tomatoes, potatoes and cannabis.
SYMPTOMS
Alternaria can cause a disease known as Alternariosis in cannabis plants. Symptoms of this disease include the appearance of necrotic Taches on the leaves, stems and flowers of the plant. These Taches may start out as small lesions that eventually expand and become darker, causing overall weakening of the plant and a reduction in yield.
