INFUSION OF WORMWOOD, CHILI OR CHILLI
INFUSIÓN DE AJENJO, CHILE O GUINDILLA
How does it work?
The infusion of wormwood, chili or chilli is a natural repellent used to scare away beetles and grasshoppers. Wormwood contains bitter and aromatic compounds that are unpleasant for many insects, while chili and chilli act as natural irritants. This infusion does not kill insects, but it keeps them away from the treated plants, reducing the damage they cause.
How is it prepared?
The preparation is simple and can be made with dry or fresh ingredients.
Recipe:
- 2 tablespoons of dried wormwood or 3 chili peppers (fresh or dried)
- 1 liter of water
Steps:
1. Boil the water.
2. Add the wormwood or chopped chili peppers.
3. Let boil for 10 minutes.
4. Turn off the heat and let it cool completely.
5. Strain the mixture and pour it into a sprayer for application.
How to apply it?
- Spray on the leaves and stems of affected or at-risk plants.
- Apply preferably at dusk or in hours of low light.
- Repeat the application every 3 days during the active presence of pests.
- In case of rain, reapply the next day.
- Wear gloves when preparing and applying the chili or chilli infusion to avoid irritation.
