GARLIC AND MINT INFUSION
INFUSIÓN DE AJO Y MENTA
How does it work?
Garlic and mint infusion is a natural remedy used to repel bugs on plants. Garlic releases strong-smelling compounds that act as a repellent and have mild insecticidal properties. Mint, for its part, also emits an intense aroma that is unpleasant for bed bugs, helping to keep them away from the plant without damaging it.
How is it prepared?
This infusion is easily prepared with common ingredients.
Recipe:
- 4 cloves of garlic
- A handful of fresh mint leaves (or 1 tablespoon if dried mint)
- 1 liter of water
Steps:
1. Boil the water.
2. Add the crushed garlic and mint.
3. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
4. Turn off the heat and let it rest for at least 12 hours.
5. Strain and place in a sprayer.
How to apply it?
- Apply with a sprayer to leaves, stems and the soil around the plant.
- Repeat the application every 3 days as long as bed bugs are present.
- Apply preferably in the afternoon or during hours of low light.
- Reapply after heavy rains.
- Shake well before use if it has been sitting.
