Fungicida

QUINOXYFEN

Fungicide

GROUP

FRAC 13

GROUP NAME

Quinolines

MoA (Mode of Action)

Alteration of signaling processes and cell development of the fungus

RESISTANCE LEVEL

Half

CLASSIFICATION

Contact avec redistribution de surface par phase vapeur

TYPE

Specific site

ACTIVITY

Primarily preventative

Description

A fungicide specialized in the control of powdery mildew, belonging to the quinoline group. It acts by interfering with signaling processes and cell development of the fungus during spore germination, appressorium formation, and initial mycelium growth. It exhibits high preventative activity and a strong affinity for plant waxes, providing prolonged persistence on the leaf surface.

Application Conditions

It is applied as a preventative foliar spray before or at the beginning of powdery mildew development. Uniform coverage of the crop must be ensured. Due to its primarily preventative and surface action, it is recommended for use within integrated pest management programs and alternating with fungicides with different modes of action to reduce the risk of resistance.

Compatibility in Treatment Programs

Compatible with powdery mildew fungicides and IPM programs; alternation with different FRAC groups is recommended.

Cross-Resistance

Cross-resistance may exist within FRAC 13 fungicides

Maximum Number of Applications

Maximum 1-2 consecutive applications depending on the anti-resistance strategy

Recommendations for Use

Recommended for use in mixtures or alternating with multi-site or systemic fungicides against powdery mildew

Compatibility with Beneficial Organisms

Generally yes, when used in accordance with the authorized conditions

Technical Notes

Quinoxifen stands out for its high surface persistence and specific preventive efficacy against powdery mildew. Its strong affinity for the plant's waxy layer provides good resistance to rain wash-off and surface redistribution. It should be integrated into resistance-control strategies and integrated disease management.
