BACILLUS SUBTILIS
Bacillus subtilis – User guide and tips for natural protection against fungi and bacteria
Application mode:
It can be applied to the soil via drip irrigation, incorporation into the substrate, or as a seed treatment, ensuring contact with the root zone. It is also used in foliar applications to prevent fungal diseases in leaves and fruit. Bacillus subtilis rapidly colonizes the surface of roots and other plant tissues, forming a biological barrier that prevents pathogens from establishing themselves and activates the plant's natural defenses.
It is recommended to apply it preventively or in the early stages of crop development, maintaining adequate humidity conditions that promote the survival and multiplication of the bacteria.
Application tips:
• Apply preferably as a preventative measure before the onset of disease.
• Avoid mixing with broad-spectrum or alkaline fungicides.
• Maintain soil moisture after application to facilitate bacterial establishment.
• Compatible with most fertilizers and organic amendments.
• Shake the product well before use and use chlorine-free water or water with low disinfectant content.
• Repeat application in case of heavy rain or conditions that reduce the active microbial population.
Toxicity:
• For humans: Very low toxicity. No known negative effects. Basic protective equipment is recommended during handling.
• For bees: Non-toxic. Completely safe for pollinators and other beneficial insects.
• For beneficial insects: Harmless to predators, parasitoids, and soil microorganisms.
• For the environment: Natural and biodegradable product, leaving no residue or risk of contamination. Promotes soil health and microbial balance, contributing to more sustainable agriculture.
