APHIDIUS sp. (Parasitic Wasps) – Instructions for use and biological control tips

Application mode:
Direct release on crops with the presence of aphids. Aphidius sp. They are parasitoid wasps that locate aphids, insert an egg inside and, when the larva develops, the aphid remains mummified and dies. The new wasps emerge from the mummies and continue the cycle of control. They act specifically and effectively against numerous species of aphids.
Application tips:
- Carry out preventive releases or at the beginning of the infestation to stop the population development of the aphid.
- Apply in favorable environmental conditions: temperature between 15 and 30°C, with medium-high relative humidity.
- Avoid the use of broad spectrum insecticides before and after release; Wait at least 5-7 days if you have applied one.
- Repeat the releases weekly if pest pressure persists or in crops with long cycles.
- Ideal for greenhouses, horticulture, fruit trees, urban crops and organic production systems.
Toxicity:
- For humans: Non-toxic. Completely safe for the applicator and the consumer.
- For bees: Non-toxic. They do not affect pollinators or their behavior.
- For natural allies: Compatible with other biological controllers, such as lacewings, ladybugs or hoverflies.
