DESCRIPTION
WHO CAUSES IT?
The pathogen Septoria apiicola is a fungus that mainly affects plants in the Apiaceae family, such as celery. This fungal disease can cause serious damage to crops, especially during favorable weather conditions for its development.
SYMPTOMS
Symptoms of infection in celery include circular brown to black leaf Taches on the leaves, which can eventually fuse together and cause defoliation of the plant.

HOW IS IT SPREAD?
Direct contact with infected plants, transport of spores by wind, spread through contaminated agricultural tools, and dispersal through contaminated irrigation water.
