ABONOS CÁLCICOS / FERTILIZANTES CÁLCICOS
Calcium fertilizers – Instructions and tips for treating calcium deficiency in plants
Application method:
Application tips:
• Apply preferably in the early morning or at dusk to improve absorption and avoid burning.
• Do not mix in the same tank with fertilizers containing sulfates or phosphates, as precipitates may form that block calcium absorption.
• Maintain regular watering: lack of water reduces calcium absorption even if the soil contains sufficient water.
• For foliar applications, use clean water and ensure the product is well dissolved.
• Repeat every 7–10 days on crops with symptoms or sensitive fruit.
• Compatible with organic farming when using permitted formulations such as calcium carbonate, dolomitic lime, or certain chelates.
• Perform a preliminary test on a small part of the plant if it is the first time using the product.
Toxicity:
• For humans: Low toxicity in agricultural use. May cause mild eye or skin irritation; it is recommended to wear gloves and avoid inhaling dust.
• For bees: Does not present significant toxicity. Can be applied outside of flowering periods without risk.
• For natural allies: Does not affect beneficial insects, as it is not an insecticide.
• For the environment: Safe if used correctly. Avoid applying large quantities to already alkaline soils to prevent excessively raising the pH.
