FOSTHIAZATE 10% – How to use and application tips for nematode control
Application mode:
Application to the soil by irrigation, injection or incorporation prior to sowing or transplanting. Fosthiazate acts by contact and ingestion on phytoparasitic nematodes, interfering with their nervous system and limiting their mobility and feeding capacity. It is effective against species such as Meloidogyne (root-knot nematode), Pratylenchus, Heterodera and other soil nematodes.
Application tips:
- Apply to well-prepared and moist soils to facilitate product distribution.
- It can be applied locally in bands or on the entire surface, depending on the type of crop.
- It does not need to be incorporated deeply into the soil, but it is important to avoid direct exposure to the sun.
- Do not apply on very dry or waterlogged soils.
- Respect the safety intervals before sowing or harvesting as indicated on the product label.
- Repeat applications only if allowed and at appropriate intervals.
Toxicity:
- For humans: Moderate toxicity. Use gloves, mask and protective clothing during handling and application.
- For bees: Non-toxic. Its application on soil does not affect pollinators.
- For natural allies: It can affect sensitive soil organisms if there is direct exposure. Use according to recommendations to minimize impact.
- For the environment: Toxic for aquatic organisms if it arrives through runoff. Do not apply near bodies of water.
