LECHE DILUIDA (1:10)
Diluted milk: a home remedy to correct calcium deficiency
How does it work?
How is it prepared?
Milk should always be well diluted to avoid unpleasant odors and fermentation.
Recipe:
• 100 ml of milk (whole, semi-skimmed, or skimmed)
• 1 liter of water
• Watering can or spray bottle
Steps:
1. Mix 1 part milk with 10 parts water (1:10).
2. Stir well until you obtain a homogeneous solution.
3. Pour into a watering can or spray bottle depending on the application method.
4. Use preferably on the same day.
How to apply it?
• By irrigation: apply around the base of the plant every 10–15 days.
• Foliar application: lightly spray leaves and stems, avoiding direct sunlight, every 15 days.
• Ideal for tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, zucchini, and plants with weak or deformed young shoots.
• Do not over-apply to avoid unpleasant odors or attracting insects.
• Do not use in highly alkaline or calcareous soils where the problem is usually not a lack of calcium but poor absorption.
