ABONOS POTÁSICOS / FERTILIZANTES POTÁSICOS
Potassium fertilizers – Instructions and tips for treating potassium deficiency in plants
Application method:
Application tips:
• Apply preferably at dawn or dusk to avoid leaf burn.
• If using potassium nitrate or another soluble product, prepare the mixture with clean water, shake well, and apply immediately.
• For soil applications, avoid excessive doses that could induce magnesium or calcium lockout.
• In sandy or heavily leached soils, split applications are preferable to avoid losses due to leaching.
• Repeat every 10–15 days if symptoms are severe, adjusting according to the plant's progress.
• Compatible with organic farming when using permitted products such as potassium sulfate (SOP).
• Always perform a preliminary test on a small area of the plant if it is the first time using the product.
Toxicity:
• For humans: Low toxicity under normal conditions of use. May cause mild skin or eye irritation. Wear gloves and basic protective gear during handling.
• For bees: No relevant toxicity. Can be applied safely during non-flowering periods.
• For beneficial insects: Generally safe. Does not affect beneficial insects, as it is not a pesticide.
• For the environment: Safe if used correctly. Avoid overdosing, which could contaminate groundwater or cause soil salinization.
