SPINOSAD 0.024% – Application guide and usage tips in crops
Application mode:
Foliar application by direct spraying on the aerial parts of the plant, ensuring uniform coverage, especially in areas where pest larvae and adults hide. Spinosad acts mainly by ingestion and to a lesser extent by contact, affecting the nervous system of insects such as thrips, caterpillars, leaf miners, fruit flies and beetles.
Application tips:
- Apply preferably at the beginning of the infestation or when the first visible damage is observed.
- Avoid applications during hours of high solar radiation so as not to reduce its effectiveness.
- Do not apply more than 3 times per crop cycle to prevent the development of resistance.
- Compatible with most insecticides, except with products with a strong alkaline reaction.
- Shake well before use and use lime-free water to improve the stability of the preparation.
- Suitable for organic farming and integrated pest management programs.
Toxicity:
- For humans: Low toxicity. May cause slight irritation to the skin or mucous membranes. Use personal protective equipment during handling and application.
- For bees: Moderately toxic. Do not apply during hours of pollinator activity or during flowering.
- For auxiliary insects: Selective and low impact on the majority, although it can affect some diptera and hymenoptera if there is direct contact.
- For the environment: Biodegradable product, with low risk of contamination of water or soil.
