Banana tea: homemade fertilizer to correct potassium deficiency
How does it work?
How is it prepared?
The recipe is simple and only requires banana peels and water.
Recipe:
• 2–3 banana peels
• 1 liter of water
• Pot
• Strainer
• Bottle or watering can
Steps:
1. Cut the banana peels into small pieces.
2. Boil 1 liter of water and add the peels.
3. Boil for 10 minutes.
4. Turn off the heat and let it sit until completely cool.
5. Strain and transfer the liquid to a bottle or watering can.
How to apply it?
• Water plants with banana peel tea once a week.
• Apply around the base, avoiding over-wetting the soil.
• Ideal for flowering plants, fruit trees, tomatoes, roses, orchids, and plants weakened by potassium deficiency.
• For a slower effect, boiled banana peels can be buried in the soil.
• Do not store the tea for more than 48 hours, as it may ferment.
