The virus can infect a variety of apple trees and can persist in infected plants for long periods, causing variable symptoms depending on growing conditions and apple variety.
SYMPTOMS
Apple mosaic virus produces characteristic symptoms on apple trees, including mosaic patterns on the leaves. Symptoms can vary in severity depending on the variety of apple tree and growing conditions.
• Appearance of mosaic patterns on the leaves.
• Chlorosis and mottling on leaves.
