DESCRIPTION
WHO CAUSES IT?
The pathogen Thaumatotibia leucotreta is an African fruit moth that affects a wide variety of crops, including plum trees (Prunus domestica). This pest is known for its ability to cause significant damage to fruits, which can result in significant economic losses for plum growers.
SYMPTOMS
The disease that occurs in plum trees manifests itself with the presence of entrance holes in the fruits, caused by the laying of moth eggs on the surface of the fruit.
