DESCRIPTION
WHO CAUSES IT?
The false inchworm is a species of moth of the family Noctuidae that acts as a major pest on various ornamental plants and agricultural crops. This pest can cause significant damage to geranium crops and other plants by feeding on their leaves, buds and flowers during its larval phase.
SYMPTOMS
In geraniums, infestation by the false inchworm can lead to a series of symptoms detrimental to the health of the plant. The most common signs include the presence of irregular holes in the leaves, damage to the buds and flowers, as well as partial or total defoliation of the plant. These symptoms can weaken the plant, affect its growth and flowering, and reduce its ornamental value.
