DESCRIPTION
WHO CAUSES IT?
Brown spot, caused by the fungus Septoria glycines, is a common disease that affects soybean crops in many parts of the world. This pathogen is known for its ability to cause significant damage to soybean plants, which can result in reduced crop yield and quality.
SYMPTOMS
In soybeans, brown spot produces symptoms that include the appearance of circular brown Taches on the leaves of the plant. These Taches usually have a darker center and can expand quickly, covering large areas of the leaf. Additionally, brown spot lesions can coalesce and form necrotic areas, which can affect the plant's ability to photosynthesize and its overall development.
