DESCRIPTION
WHO CAUSES IT?
Botrytis cinerea is a fungal pathogen that causes the disease known as gray mold in a wide range of crops, including cucurbits. This pathogen is especially problematic in conditions of high humidity and in crops with high planting density.
SYMPTOMS
Typical symptoms of Botrytis cinerea infection in cucurbits include watery Taches on the leaves, stems and fruits, which eventually develop into areas covered with gray mold. These lesions can cause rotting of plant tissues and loss of fruit quality, resulting in a decrease in crop yield.
