WHO CAUSES IT?
Bacterial spot, caused by the bacteria Xanthomonas spp., is a disease that affects various cultivated plants, including pepper. This disease can cause significant damage to crops, reducing both the quality and quantity of production.
SYMPTOMS
In pepper, bacterial spot produces a series of characteristic symptoms. These include dark brown necrotic lesions on leaves, stems and fruits. These lesions usually have a moist and greasy appearance, and may have a yellowish halo around them. Additionally, in conditions of high humidity, bacterial exudations can be observed in the lesions.
